Will the Wild Cowboy!

Yesterday night Brian and I, Will the Cowboy, Hart the Fisherman, and Amy & Lee went to Riverbanks Zoo for Boo at the Zoo. Basically it was all of us walking around and doing trick or treating at the various stations throughout the zoo. Will loved it. He was very independent and would walk ahead of us with his bucket, approach the booths, look up and say "Peeez?", they'd hand him candy, he'd set his bucket on the ground, take the candy, then put the candy in the bucket, then pick it back up and walk to the next station.

Sweet boys! On the way in.

The Haunted Carousel. Will chose to ride the giant panda. Probably because it reminded him of May May.

That's all for now!

Will & the Cart

Here are some pictures of Will playing in the pumpkin cart. You can see the progression of events as he climbs in, finds the handle, and drops it on my foot. He thought it was hilarious when I said "OUCH!"

Will & the Pumpkins

Here are some pictures of Will and the pumpkins.

Pumpkin Patch 2010

Last night Will and I met up with Amy and Hart and visited the pumpkin patch in Lexington. Along with picking out a pumpkin, we also took advantage of the photo opportunities, courtesy of the straw ponies and cart. Will is such a ham. As soon as I put him on the horse he started grinning and posing. He had a great time and loved the attention.

Will and May

Will really loves Macon (May May). Below are a couple of cute pictures. The first is of Macon and a stuffed cow. When I was putting Will down for bed last night, he saw the cow in his closet and started reaching for it and saying "May May! May May!" so I gave it to him and he hugged it really tight and gave it a kiss and said, "May May!". I guess he thinks it looks like Macon. Really, it kind of does!

This second picture is of Will listening to Macon's heart. I bought this stethoscope for him at Dollar General and he loves it. I tell him to listen to May May's heart and he'll go and find the stethoscope, put it on his ears, smash Macon down on the ground and listen.

SC State Fair

Will and I were very brave and went to the SC State Fair this year. For about 2 hours it was just he and I, then Amy and Hart joined up with us. I only have 2 photos of the adventure, mainly because I was constantly chasing down Will. His favorite? The cows . He kept walking up to the ones that were laying down and laying his head on their behinds and going "muuuuah" and giving them kisses and petting them "soft". Will loves animals - he must get that from his Mama! Will's least favorite thing there? Waiting in line only to be told he was too little to ride! He's about 34 inches tall (and he needs to be 36 for a lot of the rides) but I thought he was close enough to squeak through. Not always! :)

Hampden-Sydney Homecoming!

This past weekend, Brian and Drake and I ventured up to Brian's old college stomping grounds for his 10 year reunion. We had such a great time seeing all of our friends and enjoying the beautiful weather. I sure did miss little Will though! Meanwhile, he was having a blast with Granma & Granpa in Augusta with a new bubble gun.

10 of the Alums were there: "Bradway, Davey, Grant, Pemberton, Koontz, Krouse, Tully, Neal, Chad and Russ".

Our prime tailgate spot. In the shade, lots of room and very private. We've had the same place several years in a row now because Brian and Grant get up super early to claim it.

Davey telling one of his stories to Bradway and Brian.

Many of my friends have asked if we go into the game. We usually don't, but may walk around the campus and glimpse a sight of it from time to time. This is our view of the field from our tailgate. See that you can see the players and the field but not really observe the action.

Here's a closer view of the field at halftime when we walked around some.

We had two dogs with us. Here is Britney - Grant & Jessi's dog sitting in a tailgate chair so that I could prop my feet up on the "foot" rest and it wouldn't topple over.

Here's Miss Drake! Enjoying the company and weather!

In order from left to right: Pemberton, Brenda (Neal's wife), Neal, me in the back, Elizabeth in front of me, and Brian at the far right.

Elizabeth and I. (And Tully in the background with Britney). Elizabeth and I have SO much fun when we get together. Sadly, its really just this one time a year - but we make it worth it!

My cover shot. HAHA!

A great time was had by all! Already looking forward to next year!

May May the Cat

How can anyone forget May May? Macon has been very sweet with Will, ever since Will came home from the hospital. He patiently lets Will "pet" him (aka beat him), chase him, and now Will likes to fee him. Macon doesn't mind this new evolution one bit. See the below series on how Will feeds Macon:
