Jealousy

This is a classic shot of Drake loving the fact I'm giving her the attention and Will looking very jealous. Usually its the other way around, but I thought I'd turn the tables for a minute to see what Will did. He wasn't thrilled, huh? And look how happy Drake looks. It's ridiculous.

The Photo Shoot

This afternoon we spent some time having a photo shoot with Will. He is wearing his new outfit from his Granma and Granpa! He had a couple of irritable moments, but even those were adorable.

As Granpa puts it, Will likes to "conduct the orchestra" by moving his arms around. You can see he just finished doing that in this shot.

This is after picture 999. This is also a new face for Will. He does this pout right before a meltdown. Very dramatic just like his mama, huh?

Intermission.

And the final act. It was time to put the camera away. Enough for now!

Mama and Cubby

I affectionately refer to him as my "cub" and call him "Cubby" because he is so sweet! Here's one of Mama and Cubby as we warm up for yet another photo shoot. Isn't he adorable?

Shake Rattle and Roll

Thank you to Aunt Sallie in Virginia for the Tiffany rattle! Look how regal I look! We love you Sallie Ray!

Just Like Daddy

Here is a picture we shot of Will sound asleep in his crib. To those of you who know Brian well, he sleeps like this quite often. Back in his college days, Brian was known to strike this pose before heading off to bed for the night, after announcing to his friends "boy I'm tired".

Before and After

Here are a few pictures from the beginning and end of my pregnancy. What a difference a nine pound baby can make. The first picutre is at 15 weeks and the second is the day before Will was born at 39 weeks.

The Huntington Shower 12/06/08

I apologize to my wonderful mother in law for not posting a few pics sooner, but I wanted to post now, and re-thank her for all her hard work in pulling off a beautiful shower. Pam "Nena" and our friends Becky Zimmerman and Shirley Jones hosted a lovely shower for me in Huntington WV at the Guyan Country Club on December 6th. The day of the shower we had the most beautiful snow. My family loved it; Brian's West Virginia family felt otherwise. :)! They're just so used to seeing it, but it was a real treat for us. I was 31 weeks along in these pictures. Thank you Pam, Shirley and Becky for such a lavish and beautiful shower where I felt so special!

Some Hospital Pictures

Here are some hospital pictures taken moments after Will was born. He was quite the bruiser! He made his presence known with his loud crying, fist and leg pumping, and "munchy mouth" (as my sister Lauren called his first sucking movements), and just being plain adorable.

At the hospital were my parents Billy and Debra, Brian's parents Pam and Tim, my sisters Joanna, Sarah and Lauren, my grandparents Poppi and JoAnn, and The Great Aunt Pam. Thank you to everyone for coming out! We love you!

Brian and Will together for the first time. He didn't let him out of his sight. I was so proud!

More Will!

Our little guy! New Outfit from Nena. Blanket from Aunt Marilee.

He was SO asleep in this picture! The Great Aunt Pam and I were starting to wonder what he could be dreaming about!

Hello! It's me - Haley. Finally! I took a minute to update you guys on how we were this week. Will is doing great - sometimes even sleeping for up to 5 hours! He's amazing. I never understood the gravity of "Having a Baby Changes Everything" until he arrived. Now, like so many cliche' mommy's before me, I find myself saying "I can't imagine life without him". We are so very in love with him. Yes - Even when he wants to eat again for the 3rd time in 3 hours. What can I say? He loves his Momma. And I love him back even more.

The Great Aunt Pam came up to visit for a night and was a great help to me. She did a great job of taking care of Will between feedings and cooking for me! It also gave my Mom a break - my mom has been a "god send" since Will's arrival. I couldn't have done it without her! It's wonderful to feel so supported and to know how much everyone loves Will - especially his grandpa!

Until next time!

A few pictures

Here are a few pictures. Sorry for the delays in updating the blog. I have been traveling and Haley has not quite figured out how to add pictures to the blog. We are trying to do better, so please be patient with us. Enjoy the pictures!

Coming Home?

We spoke to the doctors yesterday and we were informed that Will's blood culture came back negative, but he has elevated white blood cell counts. The doctors found this to be suspicious enough to order a 7 day course of antibiotics. The last shots will be tomorrow at noon and we should be discharged soon after. Yesterday we were moved to to the new wing of the NICU where we are in a private room. Last night was the first night that Haley was able to spend with Will and that has done miracles for her mood and recovery. She is doing wonderful! Everything seems to be falling into place, maybe a few days later than we would have liked. We will keep our fingers crossed that we will be posting pictures from our bedroom tomorrow night! Here are a few pictures of Momma, baby, and Grandpa. Oh, for "uncle" Garrett, Go Steelers!
