St. Peter's Episcopal Church

While in West Virginia we had the priveledge of attending a service at Brian's home church - St. Peter's Episcopal. While there, Will decided to ham it up for the camera, so we took full advantage of the opportunity for a photo shoot.

Christmas in WV

We went to West Virginia for Christmas and had a wonderful time visiting with Brian's family: Nena, Poppy, and Pappaw. It was so nice to have some time to relax and enjoy one another and experience our first Christmas with Will. As you can see from the below photos, he really enjoyed all the attention, and of course his new Radio Flyer car.

A Night Out with Friends

While in Augusta, we were able to hang out with some of our high school friends and their wives. We saw Jeff Bone and his wife Heidi (pictured above), Jon Denning, and Colin Smith. It was so nice to catch up and revisit old stories! And to feel like an adult for a little while!

Thanksgiving in Augusta

This Thanksgiving we had a wonderful time visiting our Augusta family: my parents, my sisters, Uncle Tony, Poppi and Grammy, Gran, the Great Aunt Pam and Uncle David, my cousin Ashley, her husband Tom, and their 3 girls: Alexandra, Brenna and Isabel. We played cornhole, hung out outside (enjoying the 60+ degree weather), and even ate outside. At times, there are definite advantages to living in the SouthEast!

This is Will's new look. He has several teeth coming in and I think they feel different on his tongue. So he constantly has his tongue hanging out just like this. Very cute. (to me at least!)

Will ate with all of us at the "big" table. He enjoyed turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, and spit out sweet potato casserole and my Grandad's famous dressing. Hey - more for us! I'm telling you, this child is DRAMATIC - just like his Papa! HAHA!

Will's first visit with Ole' Saint Nick!

Will and Sarah and I went to Vista Lights which is a Christmas celebration held on Gervais Street. We had a great time getting into the holiday spirit and Will had the experience of sitting on Santa's lap for the first time! He didn't know quite what to think of it...but he didn't cry!

Zoo Day!

Today Sarah and Will and I went to Riverbanks Zoo. We had a great time looking at the animals, feeding giraffes, feeding goats, feeding birds, riding the carousel, and people watching. I wish we'd gotten more photos! And somehow Sarah avoided the camera. Anyway - Will loves the zoo. He was a very happy boy - as you can see in the below pictures.

Sunday after Church

After church today we went to lunch at California Dreaming, then to Sam's Club, and then took some photos in our back yard. Granpa will want to note that Will is wearing an outfit that he and Granma bought several months ago. At the time of the purchase, when Granpa saw how big the oufit was, he said "Will won't ever be ever to wear that! Look how big it is!" Well Granpa - here's your grandson in his "big" helicopter outfit!

Pumpkins - The Krouse Way

Because I love everything monogrammed, we decided to not stop when it came to carving our pumpkins. Thank you, Brian, for mastering this task, stopping at nothing, even navigating a Drimmel tool to cut such delicate details!

Halloween!

This Halloween, we bought Will a Radio Flyer red wagon, which we came to find out - he LOVED! Below are some pics of him hanging out in his wagon. Will is wearing a football costume and a ghost headband. Random, I know, but the football helmet didn't work. So maybe he's a spooky football player? HAHA!

Will was mesmerized by all the Trick-or-Treaters and was very entertained watching them all parade up to our door to get candy.

Pumpkin Patch

Will: "Whats wrong buddy? Its ok! Its just a pumpkin!" Hart: "HEEELP! HEEEELP!"

My neighbor, Amy Masincupp, and I took our boys, Will & Hart to the Pumpkin Patch for a photo opp. Turns out, Hart is terrified of pumpkins. Will, however, had a great time posing for the camera, and couldn't figure out why Hart was crying.

Over the weekend, Will and I traveled to Waynesville, NC to visit with my parents, 2 of my sisters, and Tony (Joanna's husband). We had a great time looking at the beautiful fall foilage, dining out at Clydes' restaurant, shopping on Main Street, and going to Thad Woods' Auction. Hopefully, next time, Brian and Sarah will be able to join us!

Granpa's Day Out

Dad was kind enough to watch Will for me on Monday 10/26 while Helen was off for the day. They had a great time! Dad said that he followed Will around the house most of the day and let him play as he wished. I know Will loved that! Thank you, Dad, for watching "Cubs"!

9 months old!

But Will turned 9 months old today! I can't believe how quickly time has flown by. He had his wellness appointment today and his measurements were:

Weight: 21lbs - 50th percentile
Length: 30 inches - 90th percentile - Will is a tall boy!
Head Circumference: 17 3/4 - 25th-50th percentile

He received a good report and seems to be doing everything a 9 month old should do - including getting into EVERYTHING and keeping me on my toes! He can now have meats and table food and Dr. Geurkink encouraged us to feed him what we ate, when we ate. Sounds fun!

Big Weekend in WV!

This past weekend we went to Huntington, WV to visit and celebrate Tim's 60th Birthday (10/4), Haley's 30th Birthday (10/31) and Caroline's 3rd Birthday (10/13). This was also the first time that the entire clan has been together, and the first time that Chad, Mary, and the kids met Will. It was a fun and exciting weekend for us all! It was hard to get them to sit still long enough to take a picture, but here are a few.

Caroline is SO happy with her orange star balloon. She was completely devastated when Uncle Brian released it into the sky to be with the other stars. We had no idea she'd react that way and
thought she understood what we were doing!

Day at the park (8.5 months old)

Today we took Will and Drake to Saluda Shoals park for the outdoor art festival. We took a break to listen to the Lake Murray Symphony Orchestra tuning up for their concert. Here are a few pictures of Will being pretty cute.

William Granville was baptized on Sunday August 30th at First Presbyterian Church in Columbia, SC. In attendance were both sets of grandparents, his great-Gran, his great-grandparents Poppi & Grammy, his 3 aunts and 1 uncle, his friend Lindsey, his Great Aunt Pam and Great Uncle David. Everyone came to show their support! Afterwards we enjoyed a delicious brunch at The Bistro in Lexington.
